PROFESSOR JERZY ZUBRZYCKI
Former Council Member, Australian Institute of Multicultural Affairs, and former Adviser to the Minister for Immigration and Ethnic Affairs

I was the one who sort of opposed much of what was going on in AIMA (Australian Institute for Multicultural Affairs) in terms of its undue secrecy, in terms of its being very much within the political sphere, in terms of the choice of consultants and so on. All of that reflected, I think, an unnecessary tendency to make it an instrument of politics rather than an instrument of serving the wider community.
