I don't know what the Office of Multicultural Affairs has done. You see the Institute (Australian Institute of Multicultural Affairs) had the capacity for independent reports and statements. It would hold functions and all the rest. And there could be public occasions. I always regarded the Office of Multicultural Affairs... I regarded that as a sop. We’re killing something that’s useful but we’ll pretend it’s still existing. And it’ll disappear a bit later anyway unless people can build up enough pressure to get the Institute reinstated.
